Great Christmas Sites for the Fam

Every year, I like to republish this sticky to share some cute holiday sites that are great for some good fashion family fun.

Here is  the up to date list great holiday sites

Some are things to purchase but a lot have Free activities and ideas for you and the kiddies to do during the holidays.

The Elf On The Shelf-  This site is a MUST VISIT in my book! Its my sons new found favorite. The site is inspired by one family’s tradition of keeping a little toy elf on their shelf who would watch over the children and report back to Santa if the kids were to be put on the Naughty or the Nice list! While visiting the site you can buy the Elf on the shelf book (including the toy elf!), You can register the name of your child’s toy elf at the north pole as well as do other things such as: play games (my son’s favorite is the match game… and he’s GOOD!), print holiday coloring pages, recipe for reindeer snacks and so much more!

(FREE!)
This site you can have Santa call your friends and family and ask them what they want for Christmas.. they will get to leave a message at the beep which you will be able to hear through the site….its a cute idea… but honestly, no one I know will leave a (legitimate) Christmas Wish. What it is good for? a boredom buster!  I called my husband about 4 times through out the day on Friday with this site…. and I got back messages of “WHO IS THIS?!?”…  ”SERIOUSLY STOP!” … and he blamed his friend for it as I knew he would… when he got home and I asked if Santa called him for his Christmas list… we both busted out laughing. I also called my mother- my stepfather answered and hung up.. but later on she got a message from him saying “Santa’s elf Jeff called wants to know what you want for Christmas” … maybe its just me and i need to get out more (which is all very possible) but I found this all VERY amusing.

Santa’s Hotline

This site allows you to have Santa call your little one with a personalized message ($3.99).  It also has some cute packages such as the “Santa Evidence Kit” for those children questioning the mystery of Saint Nick ($19.00), Santa Boot Prints Kit ($19.00) and a Good List Certificate ($9.99). All VERY fun and unique ideas, however the frugalista in me saw it and said AWESOME! I can totally so do that myself for a quarter of the price!

Elfster Do you and your friends do a secret grab bag for the holidays? This site makes it 10 times easier to organize! (again,FOR FREE!) From the site:

For organizers- helps with the logistics of determining who wants to participate, drawing names, and communicating the names that were drawn. All this is done while at the same time maintaining the secrecy of who drew whom.
For participants- helps find the right gift for the person whose name you drew.  For example, you can ask your person questions (such as “What style of music do you like?”) that will help you find the ultimate present.  But you are able to ask these questions in a way that will not give away your identity.  In addition, participants can keep a wish list to give their Secret Santa ideas of what might be good gifts

Package from Santa -Very cute site where you can order personalized letters from Santa as well as a letter from the elves, reindeer food, a signed photo of Santa, a GOOD LIST Certificate and much more. There are 3 packages ranging in price of $12.99 – $59.99 all with free shipping.
