This Old House

Yes, that was our basement before we moved into  our 1st first home,
yes that’s a ductaped banister, no thats not our couch
and believe me, it looked scarier from other angles.

This past may Mr. Complicated and I moved from the little cape we once resided in because of our expanding family.

This week I entered a contest at The Inspired Room that took me down memory lane- and even though I was eager to get out of that little cape, reminiscing did bring back some good memories, and made me think how that house in all its flaws really wasn’t as bad as I’ve said it was- (sshh! dont tell him, its our little secret!)

First homes really do hold so many good qualities, that we probably can only fully appreciate while looking in life’s rearview mirror. :)

If you’re reading this and have fun stories or cute qualities your first home held/holds… share them in my comments section, OR better yet send in your story .. details at The Inspired Room

I fondly remember Ryan’s second birthday with the rent-a-tent and the ginormous carrot cake. There were soo many people in the house you had to pick one spot and stay in it. I miss those days, tear :’(

Oh, thanks so much for mentioning the contest! Your readers can find all the instructions on my blog today and I hope everyone will enter!

We are about to move again and I am all for going back to a smaller house! It will likely not be as charming as that first one, but it will be home nevertheless!

    Happy day,
