My Keurig: Addicitive? or Magical? you decide.

I am kicking off the week today by telling you all about a quazi- miracle that took place in my house.

Why do I say ‘quazi”? well because its really up for debate I suppose.

You see, it all started after reading so many raving reviews about Keurig machines.  Being a coffee addict, I saw I had to have one and put it at the top of my list for Christmas this year. So on Christmas Eve, Complicated Mama’s Mama-clause wrapped it up with a big shiny bow and as always, delivered her daughter’s Christmas wish.

And let me tell you (with ZERO ties to the Keurig company at all) that it is EVERYTHING I read about and more. In short, it is Coffee- Lover heaven.

After trying out the samples that it came with, Mr.Complicated and I registered our machine and cashed in on their buy 2 boxes, get 2 boxes deal… and then some. Long story short, in the end we had 250 delicious K-cups of various flavors and brands on their way to our home.

The first order was delivered early last week ago. So after my morning cup of coffee Thursday- I invited my friend Tammy over (who also, was blessed with a Keurig machine this Christmas) to hang out with the kids and taste some of the delicious coffee I had in my stock room kitchen.

We were loving the Donut Shop coffee… feeding the kids some lunch and then it happened.

::KNOCK, KNOCK::

((GASP)) The 2nd shipment had arrived!

Like a child on Christmas morning, I quickly opened the package filled with Chocolate Glazed Donut, Cappucino, Creme Brulle & Vanilla Caramel Creme K-cups.

How could we NOT indulge??… just a little .. We’re only human!

So we had another cup… my 3rd cup for the morning.

Shortly after that cup, it was time to put our little girls down for a nap and Tammy went home.

I tucked Princess in… and within seconds, I was zooming around the house. Putting away toys, hanging up clothes, organizing the dresser draws that I had been putting off for so long.. I even … (GASP!) … Did laundry…. 2 loads!

I know, I know. I couldn’t believe it myself! My husband was going to have clean T-shirts agian! The kids were going to have matching socks! … I even got 2 of my blogging assignments done– AND I checked and responded to a few emails! …. It was a Complicated Miracle!

After I was done, I sat down to check in on my Tweeps… and then…

… what?

What was this?… A hangover headache? How can that be? Tammy and I had forgone our regularly scheduled Yago date for coffee… (Gasp!) .. o no! the coffee?… say it isn’t so!

Coffee is suppose to cure a hangover- not GIVE a hangover!

Thinking about it now, maybe I should have had some wine! Does it work in reverse like that?

Ok… fine. Next time, maybe we should be more responsible about our coffee drinking and limit ourselves to ONE. .. but, I cannot guarantee it will produce the same miracles.
