We’ve all done it before, we hear a song one way and then find they are saying something completely different.
Kids are notorious for this, aren’t they?… like when my son hears The Fray’s “How to save a life” he sings “How to stay alive” , or when he sings “a beautiful night, the beautiful sun… walking in a winter wonderland” .. understandable mix ups right?
But adults do it too, though we don’t often like to admit it.

"The Crosseyed Bear that you gave to me"
A friend of ours use to swear Alanis Morrisette was singing about a“Cross eyed Bear” in “You Oughtta Know“.. and now that he shared it with us, it still messes us up til this day whenever we hear the song. I mean thinking about it, it could have definitely been a lyrical possibility. Only a jerk would not only give his girlfriend a cross eyed bear but then take it back from her and deny her visitation with said bear.
Well I recently had one of these moments when Mr.Complicated put on David Guetta’s new song with Kelly Rowland and Ne-yo.
I clear as day heard “You wanna make me Shoes?” and I thought this is the most awesome song ever! …. HELL Yea! make me some shoes!… Stilletto’s, Boots.. I’m not picky… I don’t care which you make– just make them cute!
Then I found out they were saying “CHOOSE” … O yea! sure. well shatter a girls dreams why don’t you!
… still all day long I kept hearing the song “SHOES” in my head… and started imagining the amazing video that could have gone along with it, if only David Guetta would have gotten it right ..(why don’t these artist consult me?)
So though I was limited on time to really sync the song and images, I decided to make a quick youtube for you all.. and let you CHOOSE… are they saying SHOES?
