Kinda a big deal-and not just cause I’m a kick @ss Mom!

Before anyone goes to burn me at the stake…. the message of this clip is not that Motherhood doesn’t make us feel like a big deal (cause, well– duh!).

The message is that sometimes there are other things beyond Motherhood that make us feel proud, happy,… more-than-mom. Which is not something we should feel guilty about because the title of Mom doesn’t always encompass everything we are.

When Mely at Melyspeaks noted me as one of her blogger inspirations- It made me feel like kind of a big deal! … To inspire anyone IS kind of a big deal- right?

And my crazy-talented, knowledgeable, inspirational, independent ladies that I am honored to call my friends make me feel like a big deal just being around them– cause they are fan-tabulous.

And I think these “big deal” makers in a our lives make us better Moms.

These are my thoughts, and I’m stickin to it– so don’t kill the high people. Ts’all I’m Sayin!

    This post and your vlog just proves again, just HOW big of a deal you are!
    and..and yea, that wasn't a birthday present sitting in my drawer from 5 MONTHS ago..at all..nooo..actually, it was, uumm… an early valentines day gift!
    P.S. It's not often that I feel even 'kinda' like a big deal, but when I do, it's usually thanks to the inspiration I get when I talk to motivational, awesome people like yourself! :-)

      And that's my point! We don't (myself included) often feel like a big
      deal but sometimes it's the awesome people in our lives that “get” us
      that makes a world of difference.

      Ps- I got a comment on this post in another forum wishing me a Happy
      Birthday… Lol … So thx Tam! Haha

    I love that sign! ;0) I LOVE being a mom (although parenting is especially tough right now! ;0). My kids do make me feel like a big deal, but I agree — it is nice to get that affirmation outside of your role as a mother. I am a freelance writer and I get feedback that sort of makes me feel like a big deal now and then! And I'm a women's ministry leader in my church and I like that it gives me a chance to enourage and inspire women. And I think those things make us better mothers.

    I'm thinking it's a majorly big deal that you are video blogging! I've been thinking of that for a while, but I just hate to see myself, watch myself. Yikes. ;0) I don't think I'm as adorable as you are! ;0)

    I think the main inspiration I give people is to keep using thier birth control a little longer.
    I like the vlog. I am working on adding the video component, too, although so far, I've only exploited my son to do red carpet commentary and stream of consciousness monologues.
