Sunday was eye opening for me..- why you ask? … well it turns out if you STOP tweeting, Facebooking, blogging, stumbling, Youtubing…. for more than 30 minutes at a time– You *may* just find that extra hour you’ve been hiding from searching for to dust, vacuum, fold laundry and clean like those ladies on T.V. do! I know — amazing stuff right?
And it was cute and all- but hey! today’s a new day… No one really expected me to do it 2 days in a row right?? If I was productive today, how would I be able to tell you all about my stay at the Ritz last night?
Last night, during our weekly dinner at Complicated Mama’s Mama’s house, while my teenage siblings got harassed by babysat for bonded with the complicated kids and we all over indulged in appetizers as we always do- we had a scare with my stepfather who was doubled over in pain.
We brought him to the ER where he was diagnosed with Kidney stones.
Complicated Mama’s Mama is crazy-silly-scared of driving in the dark-so being the sweet daughter I am, I volunteered to stay over with the kids so I could drive her back later that night.
After being assured that The Complicated Stepfather (who with all his ailments totally earned that name!) was going to stay for pain management but was nevertheless going to be okay- we went back home.
My brother and sister(who are amazing if I didn’t said it already) not only gave up a bedroom for us, but together they managed to put the kids to bed before we even got home- So we got to watch some TV together just like we use to do back in my pre-wifey days (Under Cover Boss is a great show by the way) and then I headed to club B.E.D since I knew I would be awoken by the kidlets at 6am.
I tip-toed into the room., checked on the baby in her crib and then snuggled up with the boy for some much needed Z’s.
And then

wha? what’s that?… I’ve had some wacked out dreams before but dreaming of a farm and a pig?!?… O dear Lord, please do not tell me that I am pregnant and having my very first pregnancy dream…

and then the babbling of the babes started .
Is a pig attacking my baby?!?
I jumped up in a cold sweat….
and discovered my Mother’s Pot Belly Big Boston Terrior trying to get comfy on the rug beneath the baby’s crib… and Princess- wide awake was apparently cheerfully telling the dog bedtime stories.
((sigh)) — really? How did she even get in here?
I got up and shooed the dog out before she woke up the boy!
After 15 minutes of rubbing princess’ back with my eyes only half open., I finally convinced her to go back to sleep.
I got back into bed, and snuggled up with my pillow…and felt something underneath
What?? what was this?? … I pulled out from underneath the pillow case a miniature SNICKERS BAR!… yes, my sister who is about 10 lbs wet mind you — apparently is a hoarder of sweets.
I thought- That skinny B**ch! ..then laughed to myself and turned over to go back to sleep… and

-ick! what was that
— CRUMBS…. IN THE BED. The hoarding stick figure teen is not only eating in bed — but eating in bed while shes sleeping … and she’s messy!
Well it explains why the dog likes to sleep in this room anyway.
So, I tried my best to wipe them off the bed and go back to sleep….
“MOMMY!!” —
The boy woke up next to me and was completely freaked out to not be in his own room, but in a dimly lit hot pink room with black trimmed accents (I have to say I’d be freaked too..the walls practically glow.)
I assured the boy it was ok and to go back to sleep — then I glanced at the clock:
“11:32pm”
… I cant make this stuff up folks.
So I checked in on Twitter- tweeted my friend Sherri and then went back to bed….until I was woken up for the morning at … 5:23AM!
((sigh))
And don’t you know I checked under all the pillows, and even the bed… and not even 1 stowed away coffee pot to be found!
