Welcome all my fellow TMC members stopping by for the first time today! :)
I am super psyched to be a Featured Blogger on Theta Mom‘s new TMC (if you aren’t familiar definitely check it out!)
I have met so many fabulous bloggers through Theta Mom’s site- like Mommy Friend who’s custom illustrations and honesty on motherhood won me over immediately, Unknown Mami who I will love for life for calling me skinny (and yes, I am sure that the paper bag she wears over her head did not interfere with her vision), and Vodka Logic who shares the same fantabulous taste in music with me– Come on, Rob Thomas and Matt Nathinson? This lady knows her music!
But perhaps one of the luckiest run-in’s I’ve come across from ThetaMom.com is my in-person run in with Theta Mom herself. After already being bloggy friends, we finally had the chance to meet at a Radio City Event over the Holidays. For those of you who have not met her in person, let me just say she is just as fab in person as she is on her blog. – Seriously. My only regret is that I don’t have a picture of the 2 of us to share in this post! (We must fix that ASAP at Blogher!)
Oh… right…. about me.
I started this little sliver of the blogosphere when my princess arrived into our world kicking and screaming — LITERALLY– baby girl was colic… and Mama was going cr-razy.
Blogging for me was and still is an outlet to connect and relate to other Moms- with unfiltered honesty… because parenting is not always rainbows & gumdrops.
When people hear my blog’s name- their first question they always ask is “So what makes you so complicated?” (usually followed by a chuckle… as if my complicated-ness was a joke? pssh!)and I always answer the question by saying “What doesn’t make me complicated?”
You see, while its true that Sherri Shepherd , Martha and I are BFF’s and I did have a P-diddy White Party…

Motherhood is not always glamorous.
Here are some posts to prove it.
Speaking of “my thing”, the journey this blog has taken me on is nothing I ever imagined when I first started out. I’ve met some brilliant people, made some great (very genuine) friendships, workecd with some fun brands and then recently I was offered an amazing opportunity to join the folks over at The Big Toy Book and help them manage their social media programs. It has been nothing less than amazing and I truly hope many other companies will go this route, offering Bloggers the chance to expand and grow.. because we “mommy bloggers” sometimes get a bad wrap– but many of us are very professional, insightful women who could easily become an invaluable asset to a company.
So if you see @thebigtoybook or @complicatedmama tweeting up a storm- say hi!
Thank you again for stopping by… I hope you will be back, subscribe, fan and follow me (yes! I hope you do all of those things …am I pushing my luck? ;) )
xoxo
Corine
