Many of you have seen me post about my new favorite game – What’s in your toddler’s purse? where I analyze and translate what my toddler packs to go to the park and play dates… Well today I thought we would switch it up a little bit and play- What’s in a Mama’s purse?
{{Picture with held from embarrassment}}
As it turns out- my toddler and I apparently have the same grab and toss method of packing our hand bags… who knew?
Keys, Wallet, Weight watchers tracker, Baby wipes, diapers, toys- you name it… its in there.
From the looks of the picture above- My purse wouldn’t talk at all… it would just scream -”AHHH! HELP ME” .
I know I am not alone. There is some reader out there nodding their heads and giving me props for even taking a picture of my mess and sharing it on the internet… but its ok ladies because I am convinced it is not our fault that our bags end up looking like Oz after Dorothy’s house landed. We Mom’s are on a mission to find the perfect bag that is just the right combination of functional and fabulous- So we try them all on for size….and while we go from one bag to the next— sometimes the above is what happens in the process.
I was recently sent a “Switch It” for review. Switch It is a translucent handbag organizer that allows you to pack your bag essentials and switch from one purse to the next without the mess- or ever forgetting your phone/license/{insert other must-have-at-all-times item here} in your other bag. I cannot tell you how often I have done that last part.- Get to the mall, ready to check out and Ughhh! Forgot my wallet in my other bag!
The Switch It comes in 3 sizes, small medium and large. I tried out the Medium- all to find out I was definitely a large handbag toting kinda gal.
I know the one thing I loath is carrying 2 bags, and I found this product especially useful for keeping Mom’s stuff organized in the large bucket diaper bag filled of baby essentials.
Nan has some other great recommendation of how to organize with Switch it
Here are a few examples:
For the Beach
For the Bride and her maids
For The Car
The only draw back I found was that sometimes the handles were a little awkward to maneuver and fit into place because of the tight translucent plastic. Its also important to make sure you have the right size Switch It for your bag…. a large organizer in a small saddle bag just doesn’t work well together. But beyond that, I think the product is great.
Now I am just wondering if maybe I should get one for my daughter to organize her essentials that consist of plastic fruit, action figures and toy-guns?
What do you think?
