Friday night as I was just finishing up my bedtime ritual of-PJs- Facebook-Twitter-Bed, I saw a tweet from a blog friend of mine Adam about Nickelodeon’s Parent Connect Site announcing its Parent’s Pick Nominees for Best Parenting Blog.
Immediately, inside my head I started singing the jingle “Parents, Parents, Pick… ”
I was curious to see which of my SUPER STAR FRIENDS were nominated, I clicked the link and found just that… Erin from I’m Gonna Kill Him (one of my newest found favorites) , Mary from Mommyologist, Loukia from Lou Lou’s View, Mama Kat, … and — What? Me??
I have never been so shocked and flattered all at the same time. Even if I don’t make it to the final nomination round, I am honored and ecstatic at even being considered. I don’t even need to win. Seriously.
But did I mention I know the whole Jingle? …chorus and background- very hard to sing at the same time- but I try anyway.
They probably knew that. That’s probably why they put me up there.
Or maybe it was my PHD in Complicated Parenting.
Either way- If I’m nominated to the finals I will be so excited, I may just do a vlog of me and my kids singing the Parents Pick/Parents Connect jingle for you.
