Remember our last experience on tv?
Would you believe we gave it a go again?
This time it was for Laurie from The Big Toy Book. Her segments always look so fun, so when she asked me I immediately said yes, because I knew the kids would have a blast.
So this morning we packed up the fam at 7am and headed out to NYC to play with some cool summer toys, and try our best not to screw up complicate her segment.
Just as I expected Laurie had a ton of fun toys lined up for the kids out side, including a sand and water table.
I repeat a sand and WATER table .
My(almost) 2 year old is convinced her water table at home is a bird bath. So I knew exactly what was going to happen when she saw that table.
Mr. Complicated and I tried our best to show her the other toys, but she’s two. Two year olds can sniff out opportunities to make a mess with water. To my surprise though, she did not try to climb in- which was a shocker- but awesome… but what she did do? … She attempted to empty the table of every ounce of water and grain of sand, scoop by scoop- O yea, and I didn’t have a change of clothes for her. (GOOOOOO MOM!)
It was stressing me out just thinking about how she was going to get soaked and start crying on LIVE TV.
And then the segment began to film…. Here is our story, in pictures.
And I was worried about my 2 year old making a mess with water.
