Thankful For Little Moments… and cheese.

There are many things I am thankful this year.

Some you might say are ….unique… like:

My hairdresser who took me back after we broke up 4 yrs ago & can still rock a cut and cover my grays like no other. My mother who selflessly missed her hair appointment so that I could get those grays covered (because her daughter was in need of an ambush makeover). Yago San Gria- for always being there when this mama’s had a hard day and her nerves need a time out and Cheese, (I’m talking single slices, shredded and yes, even blu-cheese) for without it my daughter would surely look like a poster child for an 80′s Sally Struther’s commercial.

Other things I am thankful for are more traditional things people give thanks for, like:

My loving husband, Our beautiful family (both immediate & extended), Our health, Our home.

And then there are the smaller more sentimental things I am thankful for.

Like these moments with my daughter, waiting at the bus stop for her big brother to come home from school.

Collecting fall leaves in her princess purse…

Realizing every time the school bus comes, we are one day closer to the day that she will be getting off that school bus too.

But for now, these moments are ours… memories are still being made.

There are dozens of “first” still to come for both of my children, and dozens more little moments like these in between.

And for that, I am thankful.

I love the way you put this– and I love this time, too, that we will look back on as the “good old days” way too soon. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you and family enjoyed it. I completely know how you feel. This long holiday weekend I took the time to sort through babyboy’s baby clothes and started crying about how big he is getting. He are also potty training this weekend so he truly is my big boy not my baby anymore. Love the pictures of the princess.
