For the past few months I have been heads-down, preparing for The Big Toy Book’s Annual Sweet Suite. This is the 3rd year I am coordinating (what I am calling) The Biggest Night Of Play, with Toy Insider Mom, Laurie Schacht. The level of excitement– not only from the attendees, but from the sponsors– seems to grow every year. It’s contagious. It’s what makes me love what I do. I love being a connector and seeing amazing relationships form and grow …. Does that sound as cheesy as I feel like it does? I don’t care because it’s 100% true.
2012… Viacom Lodge And Terrace, NYC
This year 2012 Sweet Suite is being held in the same building people use to clamor outside of every day in hopes to getting face time during TRL… and as a young adult of the late 90′s, the nostalgia & excitement is not lost on me.
The view from the terrace is breath taking. We were there last week for a tech-walk through and every time I looked out there I mentally chanted “rain-rain-stay-away”.
This year in addition to the amazing sponsors and fun hands-on activities, Laurie and I had 2 very specific missions….
1.) To secure FroYo again- because everyone loved it last year and well… Gorgeous terrace + Time Square + FroYo = obvious perfection.
2.) Find a way to offer some giveaway fun for people at home, who could not make the event.
And I’m happy to report… mission accomplished on both counts– woohoo!
If you cannot attend the Sweet Suite in NYC, Aug 2- fret not.
