Today I woke up, took a shower, blow dried my hair, looked in the mirror and… BAM!
There it was staring me straight in the face. Dry, dead hair, begging for a trim.
I haven’t cut my hair since {wait for it…} DECEMBER- when I had my extensions put in. My faux hair has been out since May …. and well, from the looks of my hair today? the “I’m growing it out” and “I don’t have time for a hair appointment” excuses are not working in my favor.
I know I am not the only one who has been putting off getting a hair cut, making excuses as to why we haven’t made our appointments. So I am declaring today “Mama Get Your Hair Did Day”.
Ladies, pick up the phone and make those appointments. Then, spread the word to all of your friends- because when we look good, we feel good… and dammit we deserve it.
… and also? We kind of need our hair to be our friend and love us through our old age… and right now? It’s hates us.
