{Baby Buzz} The Summer Fuze Stroller

Since I was last shopping around for a stroller, the stroller market has changed drastically!!

This time around, I’m finding strollers downright drool-worthy (no pun intended), and there are SO many cool strollers to choose from it can be overwhelming trying to weigh out the pros and cons of each.

One stroller I’ve been spending some time inspecting is the Summer Fuze. It is new to the baby market, and has a lot of the bells and whistles today’s high end strollers have for a fraction of the price.

Fab Features Of The Summer Fuze

– Snap & Go No More! A universal infant carrier adapter is included with the Summer Fuze, which transforms your stroller into a lightweight newborn stroller. No need for that extra piece of baby gear.

– Large Under Stroller Storage With Easy Spring Access. It’s surprising how many strollers lack this very important feature. Storage is SO important, especially when traveling with multiple children who all want to bring something- and then inevitably hand it off to Mom to hold.  The Summer Fuze’s under stroller storage is large and I love the easy access spring feature, so you don’t have to jam things in and out.

– Lightweight & Slim Fold up. Made of lightweight aluminum the Summer Fuze is only 22 lbs with full seat attachment. Also, the stroller can be folded up without having to remove the seat- which is awesome!

– Easy Forward And Rear Facing Seat Adjustment.

– Height Adjustable Handlebars. The handlebars can easily go from 30″ high to 60″ high making it perfect for siblings to stroll as well as for taller parents.

– Bumper Bar opens for easy access when removing baby.

– Front locking wheels for rough terrain strolling.

Hi, I recently bought this stroller and wonder if anyone else had the same experience I did while we were initially putting together/setting up:

    1) We have a separate Graco car seat which fits in with the adapter but doesn’t seem to fit “snuggly” even after tightening the strap. I am not sure which Graco it is (it was a hand me down from my sister in law) but was wondering how snug the fit should be?

    2) The stroller does not fold flat while the seat is rear facing, only front facing, and it has to be all the way in the reclined position.

    3) The salesman at BuyBuyBaby told me we would need an infant bassinet up to 6 mos, when I thought the seat was ok for newborns since it lays all the way flat? I cannot find ANYWHERE that sells the bassinet attachment either. Even the Summer Infant website doesn’t list it. I have only seen a picture of the bassinet in the instruction manual.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really want to love this stroller!

      Hi Piper!

The stroller should fold completely flat rear or forward facing. Removing the front bar will make it lay even more flat.
I’m not sure about the Graco car seat issue. I would think it should fit snug.
As for the bassinet seat, this stroller does not have a bassinet attachment. However, you definitely do not HAVE to have one for your infant. Both of my kids and most (if not all) of my friends kids safely and comfortably used the infant carrier/stroller combo.
      Hope that helps! :)

      Hi Piper!
My name is Kelsey and I work on the team at Summer Infant. Congratulations on your stroller purchase, we are so happy you decided on our award winning Fuze! :) Hopefully the below helps you with your questions
      1. I think you may have the Graco Snugride 35 (this is one of their popular car seat models) Can you confirm that the adapter is facing the correct way? The side that has the two knobs should be furthest away from you if you are standing at the handlebar. Once the adapter is facing the correct direction, the Graco car seat should sit nicely in the adapter and you should be able to thread the strap through the car seat and pull to tighten (however you will not hear it click). Did that work?
      2. The seat does not fold as compactly with it rear facing, it will only autolock when the seat is forward facing. You can remove the seat for an even more compact fold if you would like. Additionally, if you have the seat in the forward facing position and put the handlebar up in the highest position, you can stand the stroller up so it will not take up as much floor space (a nice little hidden feature!)
      3. Summer does not currently have a stroller bassinet available, it will be available the end of September on Buy Buy Baby.com, however you are able to use the car seat with the adapter in the stroller as well and this eliminates having an extra piece!
If you have any additional questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
      Happy Strolling!

I have a Graco Snugride 35 car seat. It fits in the adapter and I am able to tighten the strap down. The problem is at the joint where the car seat adapter clicks into the stroller. The joint has at least a 1/4 inch of movement in it. Although it is secure and will not come apart it seems flimsy.

I’m having a strange problem The seat is upside down and will not go into any other position. There is a stopper blocking the seat from going into the three positions. How do I go about fixing this? Is there somewhere that I can post a picture?
