that's rough. My 5 mo son is the first grandkid on my husband's side, and already I can see that they're going to be trouble.
  • Oh complicated Mama-- u r ALWAYS welcome to vent your in-law frustrations with me and I APPLAUD u for your honesty- NOT AN easy thing to do!!
  • wow, u are sooooo correct here, why do they have to spoil them? I have grandkids and do not carry on like that, a lesson learned here xxx
  • Wow. I do not know what to say.....actually I do, but I am too afraid my in laws will somehow stumble apon your bog and read what I have to say. So I will just say I can relate, and I feel for you,and I am hoping you and your husband are on the same team w/ this, because it will not get any better if you aren't. Good luck.
  • Ugh. I'm living in my own grandparent nightmare, mostly my in-laws, too. We moved across the state, but it hasn't seemed to get much better at all!
  • I'm so sorry! I can relate to a point. I had to say something about the undermining that was going on several years ago. I told 'em that I wouldn't keep the kids from them, but I didn't have to come around if my child was gonna be disrespectful to me when around them...and it has improved quite a bit since then. I hate that you are having to deal with this!!
