There is apparently an abyss in or around my home that sucks up socks and the tops to plastic containers- most specifically black socks and lunch containers- you know, the ones I ALWAYS need. It’s that or my dishwasher and dryer are conspiring against me.
This morning I was preparing lunch for the kids and went into my kitchen closet for a small container to hold my daughters 3 chicken nuggets (of which I’d be pleased if she ate one… but that’s an entirely different rant).
Here are the options I pulled out:
Where… THE HELL … are the lids to my plastic containers?!? The ones that I *just* purchased less than a month ago for a “fresh start” back to school.
I’m glad to see that at least one container was kept with its lid, but my preschooler is not toting 3 cups of soup for lunch- really, what do you put in a container that size anyway?
The PopTart container did give me evil thoughts of just giving her a toaster pastry and calling it a day (hey! at least I know she’d eat it!)
But seriously for the love of God, where are my sandwich sized containers?!? You know the ones I like to use to pretend I’m June Cleaver with and make pretty little “Bento Boxes”?
Ok, I confess. The picture above was the first day of school – and I created it mostly as an attempt save myself the embarrassment of having my child be the only one who “didn’t like” the lunch Mommy made. She ate the crackers.
I’ve since gotten lazier- 3 cut up chicken nuggets- lazier…but I digress- WHERE ARE MY LIDS?
This feat is all to similar to my battle with my mismatched sock basket-
Trust me, you don’t even want to get me started with laundry.
