1- Pillow Pets. These little guys seem to be all the rage this holiday. Both of my kids are asking for one. My cousins are asking for one. It’s crazy.
Happy Nappers are also on my list. Similar, but different.
2.- Prep and Landing Toys. If your kids haven’t seen Prep and Landing yet, I highly suggest it. My kids love it, I love it. It’s an adorable movie and now they have out a whole line of role-play toy allowing kids to reenact their favorite scenes. These toys are available at Hallmark and on Amazon.
3- Angry Birds. Angry Birds are all the rage on the iPhone and now Mattel is bringing them into real-life with their Knock on Wood game. My son has this on his list and from what I’ve heard, so do many other Angry Bird loving kids.
4-LeapPad. I’ve been asked about this item a lot. Is it really worth it? Is it really like the adult tablets? I think as parents we’ve become a little skeptical sometimes when it comes to these parent-replica-tech-toys because of past experiences where we were let down. But when it comes to the LeapPad, you have my word when I say WORTH.EVERY.PENNY. Both my 6 yr old and 3 yr old play with it. They love the camera, the games and the graphics and quick touch screen response time keeps them engaged.
5- Disney Cars AppMates. My son loves these little guy. Very cool integration of a physical toy and technology. You can race your toy on the iPad and interact with other cars in the game. My son is working on collecting all of the Cars. He has the Francesco Bertolli car set on his list for Santa.
6- Paper Jamz. Both of my kids have this on their lists- because they LOVE the sound of their own voice. The voice effects on the Paper Jamz Mic analyze and tune your pitch as you sing, so you never sound out of key- which mean I can sing and sound like Adele (or Brittany Spears).
7- ZipBins. The one I have pictured is a Barbie ZipBin which holds your barbie and accessories in a folded up box and then the box unfolds to double as playset. They also have these for Legos. I love these because self containing toys are the best, and the are really easy to bring along to playdates or sleepovers at the grandparents house.
8-Lala Loopsy Tree House- My daughter and her 3 yr old bestie are both asking for La La Loopsie mini’s this year for Christmas. They’re adorable and the tree house is perfect for role play with these miniature button-eyed cuties.
