It’s Swoon O’clock once again! If this is your first time visiting the Sunday Swoon, every week, myself along with 5 fab blogging friends are sharing kids gear and styles that we are currently obsessing over.
This week, I am crushing on what I am dubbing as the “Mini-me Maxi Dress”.
Last weekend, while we were getting ready for the Memorial Day BBQ we were hosting, Laina walked into my room, took one look at my maxi-dress and said “Mom, if I could wear a pretty long dress like yours today, that would be AWESOME!!” – Oh, my girl knows how to butter me up. Flattery will get her EVERYWHERE (Ha- kidding. Sort of.). We had some time, so I packed the girl in the car to get her her very first maxi-dress. I mean, who was I to deny my mini-me maxi-dress “Awesomeness”, like her mother {{flips hair}}.
In all seriousness, maxi-dresses are my personal weakness. It just may be one of the things I look forward to most about summer. They are so lightweight and comfy! These summer dresses have been popping up more and more in children’s stores. I had been eyeing up a few for her while doing some summer shopping but wasn’t entirely sure how it would fit her. Would it be too long? Would she trip? So the day of her awesome comment, seemed like the perfect day to try some on for size.
The verdict is, we both loved them! While they aren’t ideal for a day when your little lady plans on running around, they are great for summer bbq’s and beach days!

Tea Collection always uses the best fabrics, so I have no doubt that this one is super comfy. Inspired by the gorgeous islands of Morocco, this dress makes me want to go on vacation.

Children’s Place has some super cute stuff this season. I love the bright colors and ruffle bottom of this cotton maxi.

This one makes me want to throw a P-diddy-style, White Party. How cute are the embellishments?
Justice Clothing Hi-low maxi dress/ $29.95*
Hi-low styles are still very much on trend and I love the aqua blues.
*One thing to note about Justice is that they quite literally ALWAYS have a 40% off sale– sometimes an additional 20% off that. I’m not sure why they put an original price on there, as you never pay that price-ever. So while this hi-low dress’ price tag says $29.95 – we snagged it on our awesome shopping trip for around $15.

Boho-chic! I love this pink gauzy boho maxi dress by Zara Kids. Its so fem and easy-breezy looking.
