My seven year old daughter Kiersten and I had the opportunity to attend an event at the Nintendo World Store in NYC to get a hands on preview of some Nintendo’s hottest upcoming games. With both of us being avid gamers we were excited to see what Nintendo’s upcoming lineup had to offer and we walked away very impressed
Mario Maker (Wii U)
This was one of our favorite games was Mario Maker for WII U. Mario Maker allows players to create and then play their own 2d Super Mario levels. Creating levels was super easy and there was even an option for older players looking for a bit of nostalgia to switch to an 8-bit presentation style.
Yoshi’s Wooly World (Wii U)
In Yoshi’s Woolly World for Wii U, players can go it alone or team up for 2 player cooperative action that takes place in a world entirely made from yarn and cloth. The coop play was really fun and we had a blast playing this game together
Mario Party 10
If you are part of a larger group, then Mario Party 10 is the game for you. The new Bowser Party mode has one player using the Wii U gamepad to cause all sort of chaos as up to 4 other players all struggle to survive.
Kirby And the Rainbow Curse
When one of the event organizers asked Kiersten what the best game of the day was, her vote went to Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. With its unique visual style (it looks like everything is made of clay) and clever mix of platforming action and puzzle solving elements, this game was outstanding.

The only disappointment of the day was hearing that we would have to while to play these excellent games again since they are not schedule for release until 2015. Be sure to keep these games on your radar.
