As a born and raised New Yorker, I can whole heartedly tell you… I am often reminded how very much I was made to live on the West Coast.
Case in point:
Today as we headed out to my oldest’s 9am basketball game we were surprised by a wintery present from mother nature.
No, not the pretty white fluffy stuff… black ice.
Before we could make it out of our community, our SUV slip-slided into a curb.
Thankfully we weren’t far from home and were able to get home safely, but we quickly called off the day’s activities and head back home for some hot cocoa, french toast and cozy lounging.
Black ice is no joke.
But now we were inside, you guys. ALL. DAY.
So this Sunday, I am swooning over our subscription to Kiwi Crate.
We got the kids subscriptions for Christmas and had this month’s box stashed away for such a day like today.
What is Kiwi Crate?
Kiwi Crate is a monthly craft box subscription for kids that includes all the materials and inspiration for projects related to different theme.
This month the theme was appropriately, FROZEN and included all the makings for a snowman bowling game and a luminary craft.

The boxes literally comes with EV-ER-Y-THING– the scissors, the glue, the stickers, the tape– and just enough of every material to complete the projects.
Un-complicated crafting for the win!!
This was Laina’s icy-day creation.

These boxes are tailored to kids ages 3+, and can be purchased month to month, as a subscription and is makes for a super awesome gift– that parents (especially those of us stuck in doors for 5+ blustery cold winter months) will thank you for over and over again.
Below you can check out the different packages offered and save 10% on your first box!
