The temps are dropping and the holidays are creeping up far quicker than many of us would like to think about, but the silver lining for my fellow fashion lovers? New winter eye candy is starting to pop up in our favorite stores.
This weekend, my pint-size Anna-Wintour and I fled the burbs and headed to NYC to scope out some looks from Ruum and Clarks Kids at Petite PARADE (Kids Fashion Week).

The Ruum Runway Show
You can always count on Ruum for a great mix of quality trend pieces and basic essentials at great prices. What I love about their clothes is that all the kids are wearing them, but Ruum’s styles are so diverse and versatile, no two kids ever pair it the same. So what can we expect from Ruum this holiday?
Well, for starters you can start drooling over their super cute party dresses for the girls! These classic-chic looks are going to be HOT for holiday, without a doubt.
The boys in the show strutted down the run way is dapper layered looks. The two standout pieces for me were a gorgeous velvet blazer that was paired with a cable knit cardigan and ginger-colored straight-leg pants that I am obsessed with (scroll below for full pic).
If you are a Mom of a boy, you know as I do that it is so hard (read: nearly impossible) to find affordable-unique looks for them. These ginger-hued pants need to be a staple in every little boys wardrobe. It will give a little pop of color to boy’s dressy-casual looks this fall/winter, and will be complimented like crazy!

Clarks Kids Show
Clarks’ show was filled with personality, high energy and fancy foot work. The show featured their latest kids shoes (some not yet available) paired with truly adorable styles.
The stand outs for me in this show were their bold dessert boots– hot pink for the girls, bright blue for the boys.
Also, though not in the show, Clarks has a great pair of glittery hi-top sneakers for girls that would look adorable with a full ruffle or tulle skirt (both shoes shown below.)
