Picture it.
Gorgeous 85 degree weather. Sun is shining.
The last school bell of the year rings – Riiiiiiiiinnnngggg.
Kids: beeline it for the bus squealing, ready to ditch their worn-out backpack and grab their shiny, new, “on fleek” (oh, yea… I said it) swimsuits.
You: Rocking your new aviator sunnies, waiting for them in your car, AC blasting, with your iced latte in hand (cause guurl, you’re gonna need that caffeine).
The bus arrives and BAM!
Your whip morphs into your mobile home for the summer.
Not literally – though, how cool would that be?
But between the day-tripping to the pool, carpooling to camp & trekking to the shore, there is no denying that summer is filled with equal parts drive time and sunshine.
And I’ve become a bit of a ninja when it comes to prep and packing that car we practically live in.
So hop on in my ride and let’s dish about the day-to-day must-haves to “un-complicate” your summer on-the-go!
So hop on in my ride and let’s dish about the day-to-day must haves to “un-complicate” your summer on-the-go!
– Phone charger with multiple USBs
Because it’s all about the gadgets.
– Tablet headrest mount
For long- ride entertainment.
– Headphones
Headphones for the kids So you don’t have to hear Elsa belt out “Let It Go” & they don’t have to listen to you enjoying the 90’s on 9 (sooo embarrassing).
– Minty Gum
Refreshes coffee breath after that umpteenth latte.
– Granola Bars
Great for grab and go and also filling– just don’t grab the chocolate ones– those (obviously) get messy!
– Paper towels
For spills to runny noses, paper towels are always good to have on hand.
– Extra battery charger stick
Again. Gadgets. Always good to have backup.
– Emergency diaper stash
Because sometimes the diaper bag is the one running on E.
– Plastic baggies
From wet bathing suits to snacks and garbage collecting… Trust me. There is always a need for them
– Lip balm
My favorite. I’m a lip balm fiend.
– Large tote + beach towels + sunblock
Always be ready for the spontaneous water play!
– First-aid kit
Something I always pray to never need, but am thankful to have when I do.
– Umbrella stroller
Lightweight. Compact. Must.

With spacious seating, ample cargo space and available safety and entertainment technologies, there’s no better vehicle to bring the family together than the Chevrolet Traverse.
