We’ve all heard the saying, ‘when in Rome!’ – but what does that actually mean?
Is ‘when in Rome!’ just an excuse to do whatever you want, whenever you want?
What should you actually do when you’re in Rome?
Whether or not you have a trip planned at the moment, it’s never too soon to start a “Bucket-list”, I say!
Day dreaming is f-u-n!
So I’ve started a Rome Bucket list for both you and I when we actually can do as the Romans do.
Check it out!
Visit The Colosseum
The Colosseum is such a huge piece of architecture with so much history, you’d be cray-cray to miss it.
You can almost sense that big things took place here as soon as you step into the grounds. You can learn so much with a guided tour, and take some amazing pictures while you’re at it. It’s one of the most eerie places you’ll ever visit in your life, guaranteed!
Eat Gelato!

Ok, you’re in Rome. In Italy. What is one of the biggest things Italy is famous for? Ice cream! Otherwise known as ‘Gelato’. Here you’ll be able to find some of the finest gelato you’ve ever laid your eyes on. This frosty sweet treat is not to be missed.
Go Shopping

Rome is also well known for its shopping; boutiques and designer shops galore here! Fellow shopping-lovers, be sure to allocate some out of your budget and treat yourself to something special. It’s always a lot fun to be able to return from a vacation with something you can’t find back at home!
Scenic Accommodation

You’re going to want to stay somewhere with incredible views in Rome – you want to look out of your window and stare in awe!

Check out sites like Venere.com to find gorgeous accommodations with a view; such as Hotel Palazzo Manfredi, which is just steps away from the Colosseum, the Forum and the Domus Aurea!
Have a Slice of Pizza

Another thing Italy is famous for– pizza!
Ahhhh! My favorite food group ;)
Rome will amaze you with its pizzas, some of them as big as your head!
Don’t expect to get a stuffed crust here though; all pizzas are traditionally thin and crispy, but they come with a variety of toppings. When I go I plan to try. them. all.
Seafood on my pizza? Don’t mind if I do!
