The weekend schedule in our house often revolves around the sports schedule of the two boys in the family. This is quite unfortunate for the two girls– though, they do get their share of mini shopping sprees and trips to the mall (unbeknownst to the boys)– which they love!
When MamaDrama’s, Erin and Holly invited the girls and I to indulge in a day of pampering, at Benefit Cosmetics in NYC, we were stoked! The ultimate girls day- and a dream come true for my 11 year old, whom much thanks to YouTube vloggers has quickly become a little miss makeup know-it-all.
“Mom, don’t you know? Benefit Mascara is THE Top mascara.” … Well, no. I didn’t know. I was surprised that she did, and later learned she absolutely correct.
Bonding Over Beauty – in SoHo NYC!
Our visit to the Benefit boutique in Soho was all we expected and then some. We were greeted at the door with refreshments of OJ and Pink Lemonade for the kids and Champagne and Mimosas for the moms, ((Yummy)) along with an array of bite size goodies in shades of white and pink.
Let the pampering begin!
First up in the chair of Make Up Artist, Kelly, was my 6yr old.
A lil Posietint on the cheeks, shimmer on the eyes and gloss on the lips, she was glammed!
Next up– my 11 year old, lover of makeup, wearer of none– well at least none outside the house.
Girl Meets Pearl gave her a radiant, natural glow.
As for me, well, I already had a full face of makeup but that didn’t matter to Kelly. A little bit of Potent! turns out to be just the thing I’m lacking in my make up bag (it is MAGIC for the under eye!), besides, of course, the aforementioned “They’re Real!” Mascara.
A little pampering at this Benefit boutique, was a great bonding day for me and the girls. If you are in the SoHo area with your mini-me’s, you can stop on by to bond over beauty too.
