This morning I saw a story on a controversial new product by Fisher Price called the iPad Apptivity Seat.

It is a seat… for babies… that you can prop your iPad into to entertain your child. We are a tech loving family. We are the parents that you will likely see at a restaurant defusing our kid’s melt down or whining with the iPhone, but this kind of blew mind.
I mean, can it be “safe” in the long run to have a screen propped up so closely to a child baby? Even if it is just for 15 minutes at a time. How will this impact their attention span as they mature? What about their eye sight?
As a mother of an infant, I personally have a million and one concerns when I see this product. And while it seems I am not alone in my thoughts and concerns, there are some parents out there that do intact love the product and consider it a way of “embracing technology”.
So I’m wondering… What are your thoughts?
Yay Or Nay?
