We Moms wear many hats, and one of those hats is usually family photographer. And not that I’m keeping track or anything but if you were to look at our family photos, you would probably find there are about 5 pictures of James with the kids for every 1 picture with me. We moms love snapping pictures of our family in happy moments but we rarely think to jump in the picture ourselves.
When we were on vacation in Maui, we had some professional photos taken and I loved that in addition to the family shots, the photographer captured some candid moments of just me and the kids.
But we shouldn’t wait for a special occasion or need to hire a professional photographer to take pictures with our kids. Living in a selfie world, there are tons of moments we can capture every day, ourselves. I’ve learned to have fun with it and try to do this often.

Which is why I love the message of Sprout’s new #MomIsHere campaign that encourages moms to take pictures of themselves with their kids, in the middle of those fleeting everyday moments.
