My son, now 7 years old has become a lover of YouTube and the plethora of knowledge it has to offer him. It’s both amazing and scary at the same time.
From YouTube he has learned video game tricks, how to draw his favorite cartoon characters and even how to tie a tie.
It is this fountain of show-and-tell knowledge on every and anything that interests him and he has become quite the savvy at seeking it out.
When we were without power for a week after Hurricane Sandy, my kids really developed a new found love for LEGO play sets and when Ry found out LEGO was coming out with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle™ line his head nearly exploded.
He instantly wanted to know more; more about the LEGO play sets coming out, more ideas & tips on different ways to build with LEGO… LEGO, LEGO, LEGO, …. search, search, search…
What I’ve done is started to make a playlists of Ry’s favorite videos. It’s easier for him to find them and it’s safer because you can customize the playlist with your child.
The Official LEGO® channel, has over 500 videos with behind the scenes footage from the creators, ideas and animated video series.
Below is the LEGO® playlist my son and I have started to build–
You can build your own LEGO playlist by following these easy instructions:
• Visit Youtube.com/LEGO and watch one of your favorite videos
• Click “Video Options”
• Select “Add To Playlist”
• Sign-In using your YouTube Login
• Add your selected video to an existing playlist or create a new one.
