Baby Showers are an exciting event for expecting parents and their family–The registry, the decor, the games… – it’s a day you will never forget. I myself, had two- a big shower the first time around and a “Sprinkle” (a smaller shower usually for 2nd, 3rd, etc.).
And while, a baby shower is not in the plans this time around (much to my party-loving daughter’s dismay), over the years, I always mentally filed away the most creative and unique baby shower ideas I’ve seen both in real life and online because you never know when you’ll be planning one, right?
Inspired by a Huggies Baby Shower I attended, today I’m sharing some of these great baby shower ideas , so if you are planning a baby shower (or sprinkle) or want to throw some subtle hints for your own shower, get ready to take notes.

Unique Baby Shower Games & Activities
A lot of baby showers have the same popular games being played- baby bingo, baby food blind fold test, guess the candy in the diaper… we’ve all seen those.
Here are some great out of the box, memorable games that your guests will love!

- DIY Onesies – This was one of the activities we did at the Huggies baby shower I attended in June. They had set up an activity table filled with onsies, stencils, paint brushes and clothing paint. Attendees get to decorate a baby onesie and hang it on a clothes line displayed in the room. The best part of this activity is at the end of the shower, the mom-to-be will have a a whole collection of personalized onesies made for her baby by her closest friends and family!
- Old Wives Tales – This was played at a baby shower I attended where the mom to be did not know the gender of her baby. In the front of the room on an easel was a boy and girl tally chart. Throughout the course of the party, old wives tales were put to the test in front of everyone. At this particular party, almost every one came up BOY. Low and behold, when the baby arrived… it was a boy! Maybe there’s something to those old wives tales after all!
- He Said, She Said- With everyone connected online these days, this is a fun game that involves the expecting parents Facebook Status’ Check it out.
Treats To Remember
I’m a big believer in details making the party, this includes the menu. Here are some fun tasty treats for your party.

- Ice-pop in Prosecco (with a non alcoholic option of pineapple juice for the Mom-to-be). This was served at the Huggies Baby Shower… and it is SO refreshing and simple to recreate! When I got home, I was craving this and just picked up some pineapple juice and fruit pops at the store. Super simple. Super delish,
- Mocktails for Mom- My mom did this for my shower. There are a ton of great mocktail ideas out there. Chose one to make the Mom-to-be feel even more special.
- Cookies and Milk bar There are various ways you can set this up in the room. No matter how you set it up, this idea will definitely channel everyone’s inner child.
